Today, May the 18th, is the International Museum Day. Each year, the Advisory Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) defines a specific theme for International Museum Day. The theme for 2010 is "Museums for Social Harmony". International Museum Day has been celebrated all over the world since 1977. The spirit of the celebration is: «Museums are an important mean of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, co-operation and peace among peoples ».
And now... why don´t we visit some famous museums? Let´s go to the British Museum in London, to Le Louvre in Paris and to El Prado in Madrid. Enjoy your visit!
