CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS!!!

Yes! The first term is over and now it is time for the desired Christmas break. Remember that it is a time to share or, as we say this year, to DIVE into family, to share, to love and be loved. 

1.- Before leaving, please complete this guide about London, a city we all know well after the first reading. Remember to include all the places and monuments you like. Just click HERE to start creating your Padlet. 

2.- Now let´s play a Kahoot HERE.

3.- After that, let´s all sing along a Christmas carol: "Santa Claus is coming to town".

4.- And that´s all for this term... After all your hard work, you deserve a rest, but remember to do your Christmas "homework". On the left you can read all the tasks to complete. I´ll try to do them all!!!

READING BOOK: A day in the city

 After our trip to London, now we are more than experts in the capital city of the UK. So today we are going to read the second part of the book, a story titled "A day in the city". Ready?

1.- First, read "A day in the city" and listen to the audio at the same time.

2.- Now, in groups, please complete the Liveworksheets 25-26 (SEASONS).

Do you fancy a one-day trip to the capital city of the UK? There are lots of things to see and enjoy, but... How much do you know about London?  What are its most famous monuments? You have the answers to all these questions in the first reading book of this school year: London.

SEASONS - AUTUMN: Speaking test

Today we have the SPEAKING TEST about the autumn. Remember to keep calm and speak clearly, there is no hurry. Try to sound like a native speaker and talk about 3 things:

     1.- Firstly, mention some general facts about the autumn: months, colours, weather, clothes...

     2.- Secondly, explain what happens to nature in autumn: trees, leaves and animals.

     3.- Finally, name 3 activities you can do in autumn.

Meanwhile it is not your turn, you have to do the following tasks:

1.- Listening test.

2.- Reading and comprehension test.

3.- Liveworksheets 17-18 about the autumn.

4.- Liveworksheets 21-22 about Christmas.

FESTIVALS - CHRISTMAS

 Today is the day!!! 10th of December, CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY!!!  an annual charity event hold by the NGO "Save the children".  Today we are all wearing a funny jumpers to school instead of normal clothes in order to

"MAKE THE WORLD BETTER WITH A SWEATER".

It´s a wonderful day, full of laughter, fun, unique sweaters and games.

Now we are ready to enjoy the Christmas seasons by participating in all these games:

1.- Please write down the phrase of the month in your notebook.

2.- Now let´s play these online games to remember the Christmas words HERE.

3.- Then we can do the Liveworeksheets number 19 and 20.

SEASONS - AUTUMN

We already know many words about the autumn: colours, months, weather, clothes, fruits, animals, festivals ...

Can you now add some activities we can do during this season? 

There are lots of funny things to do. 

You have some examples on the left picture. Zoom in and take a look...

1.- Let´s begin watching this video to do a fall bucket list.

 

 2.- Now please write a  FALL BUCKET LIST in your notebook with 3 activities you would like to do this autumn.

3.- Next, we can mix all the information about the autumn together in a composition. You have one in your notebook. 

4.- Finally complete the Liveworksheets 14-15-16. 

5.- Now pay close attention: next Friday, 10th of December, we will celebrate CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY" at school. So you have to decorate one of your jumpers with Christmas decorations to make it funny.

Many countries around the world will celebrate CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY, an annual charity event hold by the NGO "Save the children". 

Everybody wears a funny jumper to school or work for the day instead of normal clothes or uniforms, to raise fund through sponsorship.

Besides, we will play the game of the month SECRET SANTA. So please, bring a small present or gift to school to participate. Thank you.

SEASONS: AUTUMN

 It is autumn, have you noticed it? I bet you have. What colours can we see? What happens to the leaves? What are the animals so busy? What ´s the weather like? ? You have all the answers in this unit.

1.- First, design a cover for the autumn: write AUTUMN - FALL in big letters and decorate the page with leaves,, nuts, tress... things related to this season.

2.- Next, stick the photocopies with the vocabulary and expressions of the autumn in your notebook with glue.
