6ºA: "LETTERS TO GABRIELLE"

This Padlet reflects the feminist side of Emilia, focusing in her friendship with the British writer Gabrielle Cunninghame Graham, who invited her to join the British "Women´s Franchise League". Structured in 3 columns, the 1st one highlights some of the ideas of Emilia about women, the 2nd one explains who Gabriella was and the 3rd one deals with "The Suffragettes", a British feminist movement for the women´s right to vote. Here it is:

6ºB: "EMILY AND THE GHOST"
This Padlet shows Emilia´s short story "The deception" (El engaño), which tells the story of a British lady who comes to Coruña to visit the place where sir John Moore died in 1809. It was probably referred to lady Hester Stanhope, a British aristocrat whose legend is closely attached to our city, with a ghost included. So, we investigated who Sir John Moore and Lady Hester were, and when and why the Battle of Elvña happened.
