Yes! The first term is over and now it is time for the desired Christmas break. Remember that it is a time to share or, as we say this year, to DIVE into family, to share, to love and be loved.

FESTIVALS - CHRISTMAS


 Today is the day!!! 10th of December, CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY!!!  an annual charity event hold by the NGO "Save the children".  Today we are all wearing a funny jumpers to school instead of normal clothes in order to
"MAKE THE WORLD BETTER WITH A SWEATER".

It´s a wonderful day, full of laughter, fun, unique sweaters and games.

Now we are ready to enjoy the Christmas seasons by participating in all these games:

SEASONS - AUTUMN

We already know many words about the autumn: colours, months, weather, clothes, fruits, animals, festivals ...
Can you now add some activities we can do during this season?

3.- Next, we can mix all the information about the autumn together in a composition. You have one in your notebook.

5.- Now pay close attention: next Friday, 10th of December, we will celebrate CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY" at school. So you have to decorate one of your jumpers with Christmas decorations to make it funny.

Many countries around the world will celebrate CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY, an annual charity event hold by the NGO "Save the children". 

Everybody wears a funny jumper to school or work for the day instead of normal clothes or uniforms, to raise fund through sponsorship.


Besides, we will play the game of the month SECRET SANTA. So please, bring a small present or gift to school to participate. Thank you.

 It is autumn, have you noticed it? I bet you have. What colours can we see? What happens to the leaves? What are the animals so busy? What ´s the weather like? ? You have all the answers in this unit.

FESTIVALS: Thanksgiving Day

Today we will receive a special visitor in the classroom:
Tareen Rudolph, an American speaker. He will explain about how life is for an American teenager: which clothes he uses, how schools are, what the typical food is ... Besides, he will talk about a popular celebration: Thanksgiving Day.

Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. Families gather together for a big meal, which usually consists of roast turkey with potatoes, corn, carrots and other vegetables. Pumpkin pie is essential for dessert. It is also a time to be thankful for the good things we have, so people say: I´M THANKFUL FOR... What are you thankful for?

5.- A little bit of history now. "Remember, remember the 5th of November". Today England is celebrating Bonfire Night or Guy Fawkes´ Day. Have you ever heard of this tradition? Children make a guy with old clothes and stuffed with newspapers, they put it on the top of a bonfire and burn it. There also are firework displays in all villages and cities. It´s great fun! It´s typical to eat roasted potatoes, chestnuts and toffee apples. Yummy! Take a look:

INTRODUCTION UNIT: Hello again!

"Hello again"!!! Yes, I am saying hello to you, but thist is also the title of the introduction unit, which we will start today. We will review some vocabulary from last year related to school and people. Are you ready?

1.- First of all, please design a cover for this unit in your notebook. You can see an example in Calameo, on the left.

2.- Now write down the contents of this unit in your notebook. Remember to separate the 4 parts: vocabulary, grammar, question words and project.

3.- Stick the photocopies related to classroom objects and subjects. Try to understand all the words.

5.- Let´s talk about subjects next. Watch this video and give your opinion about your favourite subject:
