SEASONS - WINTER: Speaking and reading comprehension tests

Today we have the SPEAKING - LISTENING and READING COMPREHENSION TESTS about the winter. Remember to keep calm and speak clearly, there is no hurry. Try to sound like a native speaker and talk about 3 things:

     1.- Firstly, mention some general facts about the winter: months, colours, weather, clothes...

     2.- Secondly, explain what happens in winter: nature and animals.

     3.- Finally, name 3 activities you can do in winter.

Meanwhile it is not your turn, you have to do the following tasks:

1.- Listening comprehension test: Liveworksheet 37 (SEASONS).

2.- Reading comprehension test: Liveworksheets 38 (SEASONS).

3.- When you finish, please complete the Liveworksheet 36 about the Winter Olympic games.

SEASONS - WINTER

We already know many words about the winter: colours, months, weather, clothes, fruits, animals, festivals ...

Can you now add some activities we can do during this season? 

There are lots of funny things to do. 

You have some examples on the left picture. Zoom in and take a look...

And later, try to write a composition about this season with all the information we have learned so far. Remember to organize it in 3 paragraphs:

- PARAGRAPH 1: months, weather, clothes.

- PARAGRAPH 2: nature and animals in winter.

- PARAGRAPH 3: 3 activities you can do this winter.

Remember to add something new which isn´t in the template.

 2.- Now please write a  WINTER BUCKET LIST in your notebook with 3 activities you would like to do this winter (or just underline 3 activities from your photocopy).

3.- Next, we can mix all the information about the winter together in a composition. You have one example in your notebook. Write your own one in a new page, dividing it in 3 paragraphs and adding something which is not included. Watch this video to get some ideas:

 

4.- Finally complete the Liveworksheets 33-34-35 (SEASONS).

SEASONS - WINTER

Today we have to finish the SPEAKING TEST, but we are also going to learn about the season we are: WINTER.

Winter is here, have you noticed it? Of course you have. It is freezing cold and there is barely light. Most of the animals have disappeared and there are no flowers or leaves. What colours can we see? Where are all the animals? What ´s the weather like? What activities can we do? You have all the answers in this unit.

Ready to play in the snow?

1.- First, design a cover for the winter: write WINTER in big coloured letters and decorate the page with snow, snowmen, snowflakes... or any other thing related to this season.

2.- Next, stick the photocopies with the vocabulary and expressions of the winter in your notebook with glue.

3.- Now watch this video to remember the words:

 

4.- Finally, complete the Liveworksheets 30-31-32 (SEASONS).
