5.- A little bit of history now. "Remember, remember the 5th of November". Today England is celebrating Bonfire Night or Guy Fawkes´ Day. Have you ever heard of this tradition? Children make a guy with old clothes and stuffed with newspapers, they put it on the top of a bonfire and burn it. There also are firework displays in all villages and cities. It´s great fun! It´s typical to eat roasted potatoes, chestnuts and toffee apples. Yummy! Take a look:

 Now we already know how to describe ourselves. Next Monday we will sit a writing test where you have to write it. Remember to mention 5 different things:

      4.- School: year, subjects you like, subjects you don´t like, friends

Today we are going to add some adjectives to describe our personality. Are you talkative or quiet? Are you hardworking or lazy? Optimistic or pessimistic? Obedient or disobedient? The list of words is endless! Could you say 3 adjectives to describe yourself? Think carefully.

1.- First things first: write down the new words in your notebook.

2.- Now stick the template of the project of this unit: "This is me". Read it and prepare a similar one about you.

INTRODUCTION UNIT - HELLO AGAIN: The UK

Today we have a special visitor, a native speaker from the UK: Susana Barreiro. She is an English teacher who grew up in London, where she went to school. She will tell us about the 4 countries in the UK: a bit of geography, climate, population, currency, flag, emblems, customs adn traditions. Listen carefully because, after her speech, we are going to play a popular game, "Who wants to be a millionaire". Do your best, there is an award at the end!!!
