UNIT 1 - BACK TO SCHOOL: Picture description

In today´s lesson we will revise the use and formation of the present continuous, also known as present progressive, in the 3 forms: affirmative, negative and interrogative. Remember that we have to use the verb TO BE followed by the main verb ending in "ING".

And we will also learn how to describe a picture!

1.- First, stick the vocabulary to describe a picture. 

 2.- Now let's learn how to organise your description. Remember to follow these three steps:

     1.- INTRODUCTION: say what you see and where they are.

     2.- BODY: explain what the people in the picture are doing.

     3.- CONCLUSION: give your opinion (they are having fun, they look happy, ...).

3.- Then, watch this video to fix the vocabulary and exprssions you may need to describe a picture:

 

4.- Next, please go to EDIXGAL - unit 1 - Be an artist!: activities 1-2. 

5.- Then, please describe the painting that appears in EDIXGAL (activity 3)  in your notebook.

6. Time for a Liveworksheet: 25.
