UNIT 1 - BACK TO SCHOOL: Picture description

In today´s lesson we will revise the use and formation of the present continuous, also known as present progressive, in the 3 forms: affirmative, negative and interrogative. Remember that we have to use the verb TO BE followed by the main verb ending in "ING".

1.- First watch this video to remember how to use this tense:

 

 2.- Now remember the basic rules to add "ING":   

3.- Next, please go to EDIXGAL - unit 1 - Do you like studying English? : activities 1 to 7 and Accept the challenge.

4.- Now we are ready to do some exercises. Click HERE  and complete the activities number 1 to 11.

5.- Finally, stick the vocabulary to describe a picture. Practise how to do it with the Liveworksheet number 24.


Today we will learn to describe what we are seing in a picture, using the present continuous tense. Remember to follow these three steps:

     1.- INTRODUCTION: say what you see and where they are.

     2.- BODY: explain what the people in the picture are doing.

     3.- CONCLUSION: give your opinion (they are having fun, they look happy, ...).

3.- Then, please describe the painting that appears in EDIXGAL (activity 3)  in your notebook.

4.- Now complete the Liveworksheet number 26. Take your time...
