EARTH DAY

Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson on April 22, 1970 and it´s celebrated in more than 175 countries every year. Earth Day is celebrated in spring in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.
Forty years after the first Earth Day, the world is in greater peril than ever. While climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, it also presents the greatest opportunity to build a healthy, prosperous, clean and green planet now and for the future.
But what can we do, as individuals, to help the Planet? Watch this video of Polly Bear. She wants to tell you about Earth Day and what you can do to SAVE THE PLANET . You know... THINK GREEN! Happy Earth Day!
