EARTH HOUR

Earth Hour is a global event organized by WWF (World Wildlife Fund) and is held on the last Saturday of March annually, asking households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. HAPPY EASTER HOLIDAYS

We are on holidays at last! After the great effort we have done this term, we all deserve a rest. I hope your marks are good and enjoy your holidays. Have fun eating the chocolate eggs and, above all, rest for a few days. Happy Easter, kids!

STEP FOUR: HOT CROSS BUNS

To finish with this Easter week, we have to talk about the hot cross buns. A hot cross bun, or cross-bun, is a type of sweet spiced bun made with raisins. It has got a cross marked on the top.
English folklore includes many superstitions surrounding hot cross buns. One of them says that a piece of it given to someone who is ill helps them recover. Another one says that sharing a hot cross bun with another is supposed to ensure friendship throughout the coming year. There is also a very popular nursery rhyme:

ST. PATRICK´S DAY

St.Patricks Day Animated Gifs
Today, March the 17th, is St. Patrick´s Day, the Irish patron . That means that there are big parades all over Ireland to celebrate it. Everyone wears green (green clothes, green hair, green hats, ...) because it´s the Irish colour. And they also hold a shamrock, the national emblem. By the way, do you know the legend of the leprechaun?... It´s said that there is a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow and that a leprechaun is keeping it. So if you see one, go and try to find the treasure. It´s very difficult to catch a leprechaun and take his gold, but it´s easier to find 4 lucky clovers in this game. Just click on the image below and enjoy. Good luck!
