Now that we know a lot about cities, it is time to describe A Coruña, our hometown, as a final project for this unit 1. Remember to use as much vocabulary and expressions as you can. Ready?
1.- Before the composition, please write down the question words of this unit in your notebook. You can copy them from Calameo - unit 1 - point 3 (on the left of the blog). Or, if you prefer, from here:
3.- QUESTION WORDS
3.1.- WHERE? : ¿dónde?
Where is the bank? It's next to the bakery.
3.2.- HOW?: ¿cómo?
How can I get to the park? Go straight on and turn left.
How do you go to school? I go to school by car.
2.- Now, in a new page of your notebook, stick the example of the project "A Coruña, my hometown". Read it carefully and look up the words you don´t understand.
3.- Next, you can start writing your composition. You have to divide it in 5 paragraphs and a conclusion (follow the example in Calameo - unit 1 - point 4 "Project", on the left of this blog):
- PARAGRAPH 1: Write the name of the town where you live and where it is located (in the north- west of Spain) and explain about the promenade.
- PARAGRAPH 2: Write about the climate of A Coruña (oceanic) and what the weather is like.
- PARAGRAPH 3: Name some historic buildings.
- PARAGRAPH 4: Explain what kind of buildings and shops there are in Coruña and which ones there aren't.
- PARAGRAPH 5: Write about the area where you live, what you can see from your window and what your favourite place is.
- CONCLUSION: Just 1 or 2 sentences as a conclusion.
4.- Finally, let's revise the contents of this unit 1, so please complete the Liveworksheets 21-22-23.
