SEASONS: Spring

 


Is spring your favourite season? Why? Do you prefer the summer? Difficult questions because all the seasons have their pros and cons. What do you think? Time for a debate: analize the advantages and disadvantages of spring.

SEASONS: Spring


Have you noticed it? Spring is here!!! The days are longer, the weather is warmer and we can see the sun again after the long winter. Today we are going to review the main spring words and facts. Hands on!

1.- Read the photocopies with the spring vocabulary in your notebook. Take a look at them, trying to understand all the words.

2.- Now watch this video about "Springtime". You will hear and see many of the expressions from the photocopies. Pay close attention...

3.- You are ready to do the Liveworksheets number 41-42-43 in the SEASONS workbook.

4.- Finally, read the composition about spring and think about what you love most about spring. Is it the smell of flowers? Is it the sound of the birds? Or maybe the sunshine? Take a look at this video to get some ideas:

UNIT 2 - SIMPLY THE BEST: The past simple of regular and irregular verbs


Let´s do some revision for the grammar test of next Friday. Hands on!!!

1.- First things first: let´s take a look at the final project: "Last weekend".

2.- Write down a similar composition in your notebook. Remember to divide it in 4 paragraphs:

     - PARAGRAPH 1: A brief introduction

    -  PARAGRAPH 2: Activities you did last Saturday

    -  PARAGRAPH 3: Activities you did last Sunday

     - CONCLUSION: A short conclusion

UNIT 2 - SIMPLY THE BEST: Past simple of irregular verbs


Today we will learn the last groups of irregular verbs. Come on! They are not so complicated!

1.- First of all, let´s sit the mini-test: go to Liveworksheets and complete the number 68 and 69. The best of luck!

2.- Now write down in your notebook the negative and interrogative forms in the past, as well as the question words of this unit and the final project. Here is a video for you:

 

 3.- Next please go to e-Dixgal and complete the last lesson. REVISION: do the activities 2 to 15. You will find a bit of all the contents learned in this unit.

4.- Finally, do the Liveworksheets number 70 to 74.

 It is time to learn some irregular verbs in the past. Don´t panic! They are just a few and not very complicated, you´ll see.

UNIT 2 - SIMPLY THE BEST: Past simple of regular verbs


We are back and with recharged batteries!!! We are on the last lap: one more term and that´s it. Just the last effort...

Today we are going to revise how to speak in the past tense, but only with regular verbs. Remember that we have to add "ED" and use the auxiliary verb DID - DIDN¨T to form interrogative and negative sentences. Hands on!!!
