Today it is World Book Day, a celebration of authors, books, illustrators and editors. Some centuries ago, on the 23rd of April, two great writers died: one in Spain, Miguel de Cervantes, and the other in England, William Shakespeare. Both wrote many works, very well known all over the world. Besides, today the English celebrate St. George´s day, patron saint of England.
And that´s why we have had the honour to receive the visit of Susana Zas, an English teacher in the School of Languages, who came to tell us about these two celebrations. She also gave us the two typical gifts of this day: a book and a rose. She told us the story of George and the dragon and gave us a rose as a memory.
Thank you so much, Susana. We hope to see you again next year!!!
