Non-Violence Day


Today all the schools are celebrating a special ocassion: NON-VIOLENCE DAY. This week we have been prepared some activities around the book "Tusk, tusk" by David McKee. Did you like the story of the black and white elephants? It´s fantastic, isn´t it? By the way, there is a song by Michael Jackson who talks about the same theme and its titled "Black and White". OSCAR NOMINATIONS 2009

We already know the Oscar Nominations for this year! There is a Spanish actress in the list (Penelope Cruz) and 3 fantastic animated films: "Bolt", "King-Fu Panda" and "Wall-E". Have you seen them all?... What is your favourite one?... Which one will be the winner?... We´ll know the answer in the coming ceremony, on February the 22nd. Meanwhile, watch this video.

Tomorrow (January 20th) will take place the inauguration of the President of the United States of America in Washington D.C. It´s the first time that the USA has got a black president: Barack Obama. Congratulations Mr. President!
